About the artwork
Fade to Black comprises 11 titled, detachable images, each of them constituting the testimony of an artistic proposal by Parreno. Printed with phosphorescent ink, they must be exposed to light and afterwards browsed in the dark to become visible. However, the images are doomed to disappear again as the amount of light is limited to its time of exposure.
