Bildhalle was founded by Mirjam Cavegn in 2013. The gallery aims to promote contemporary photography as an artistic practice, and be part of the wider historical discouse surrounding the medium. Working with emerging and established artists alike, Bildhalle has an ambitious exhibition and art fair program, and has quickly become one of the most significant photography galleries in Switzerland. Bildhalle represents artists such as Werner Bischof, René Burri, and Douglas Mandry.
