About the artwork

Romanian-born Gert & Uwe Tobias' unique blend of their native folklore with contemporary graphics and horror film chic is instantly recognizable in this striking series of lithographs. Eerie figures appear starkly lit or lurk in the shadows, Dracula-like and nightmarish, the stuff of Transylvanian myths and scary movies. The ghoulish creatures are rendered with the twin brothers' trademark freshness and modernity, with a vibrant shade of violet as the dominant color of the series.
