Founded in 1926 by Christian Zervos in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés in Paris, Cahiers d’Art is a unique model referring at once to a publishing house, a gallery, and to a revue. In 2012, the legacy of Cahiers d’Art was reawakened by the Swedish collector Staffan Ahrenberg when he relaunched the house’s revue and publications, and endeavored the republication and first ever English translation of Christian Zervos’ legendary 33-volume Pablo Picasso Catalogue Raisonné. Since reopening the historic 14 rue du Dragon gallery and expanding into 15 rue du Dragon, Cahiers d’Art has extensively published limited editions and held exhibitions dedicated to modern masters such as Ellsworth Kelly and Alexander Calder as well as more contemporary figures such as Rosemarie Trockel and Philippe Parreno.
