100 years old and still going strong, born in 1915, it took a lifetime for Carmen Herrera to be discovered. Now, with a solo show at the Whitney just finished, she is taking the art world by storm and was recently the subject of a Netflix documentary. These three geometric works, Verde y Amarillo, (Green and Yellow), are stunning and simple minimalist compositions.
