About Donald Judd

Equally influential as a writer and artist, Donald Judd paved the way for a new order in American art and was a leading exponent of the Minimalism movement. Legendary minimalist artist Donald Judd used color in his slick geometric works to delineate space rather than reveal mood. Concerned with emphasizing the purity of an object rather than any symbolic significance, he always pared down individual components, framing space with his simplified forms.
