Resembling a children's game or indeed an optician's toolbox, Monk's portfolio of 11 lithographs quite literally counts with colors, each print featuring a number composed of the corresponding number of color layers. This playful multiple is an experiment in quantifying color and in the effect of layering several tones over each other, interactive and investigative in nature.
