About the artwork

While on his honeymoon trip to Paris, Swiss photographer René Groebli took a series of portraits of his wife which he compiled in a book titled The Eye of Love. Not originally intended to be published, these intimate photographs read like a work of poetry, narrating a single day in the life of lovers in Paris.
