About the artwork

This diptych – like most of Roy Lichtenstein’s Interiors – was based on advertisements the artist had come across from scrolling through the 'good old' Yellow Pages. Combining his signature styles of comic strips and advertising, with their jagged triangular edges, they appear like modernist stained-glass windows.
