About ULAE
Universal Limited Art Editions (ULAE) is a New York-based publisher of fine art prints founded by Tatyana Grosman in 1957. Considered to have revived the tradition of printmaking in America in the 1960s, ULAE has produced exceptional lithographs and prints in collaboration with such artists as Barnett Newman, Cy Twombly, Jasper Johns, and Robert Rauschenberg. Soon after its beginning MoMA established a grant system that allowed the museum to acquire the first print of every ULAE edition—a tradition that still continues to this day. ULAE continues to innovate in the area of printing without losing the community feel of its studio.
