About the artwork

The Vollard Suite is a much sought after set of 100 neo-classical style original etchings produced by Picasso between 1930 and 1937. In this graceful piece from the suite, Picasso pays homage to the classical Western tradition of depicting nude women bathing, with the ogling eyes of men not far from sight.
